03.06.09: So it's June and the inevitable 'Day of Reckoning' is ever so close. We've sold out of Recon DVDs and had to order a second production run! Thank you so much for your support. We're glad this year's Etape Guide DVD is in such demand and we hope it gives you that special edge to get you a new Personal Best! RIDE ON! 10.04.09: Did you manage to do a spring training camp yet? It's time to ramp up your training intensity and possibly ride one or two Gran Fondos or Cyclosportives to get used to riding in the bunch. Can you? 29.10.08: Win with Ventoux! Win a bottle of Cotes du Ventoux Red Wine from the slopes of Mont Ventoux itself. Any product purchase from the Cyclefilm Shop between now and December 31st 2008 will automatically enter you into the competition. Final prize drawing in January 2009. Good Luck and Salute! 28.10.08: "RETURN THE ROCK" Campaign launched. The first 100 DVD orders will receive an original piece of Mt.Ventoux Rock! Keep it as lucky charm to guide you through your training, then return the Rock to its source on July 20th 2009! You will also receive an original sample of Montelimar Nougat! 27.10.08: We have returned from 'The Giant' with plenty of breathtaking footage and souvenirs to be handed out to Cyclefilm fans in the coming months. It turns out we were the last people to get a good look at Ventoux in its 'summer' state. Weather reports today announced -11C and snow on the top! Ventoux has slipped into hibernation. Time for the rest of us to train while 'The Giant' sleeps. 23.10.08: Cyclefilm will be on location in Montelimar/Mt.Ventoux until Sunday 26.10. to film the 2009 L'Etape du Tour Recon DVD Check back into L'Etape HQ over the following days to see exclusicve video clips from our Production. 22.10.08: The 'Giant' returns! L'Etape du Tour MondoVelo declares Tour de France stage 20 (Montelimar - Mt.Ventoux) as the official route to be used for L'Etape'09. The mountain awaits...July 20th 2009. 20.10.08: Two days before the official announcement, Ventoux Magazine mentions July 20th as potential date for the L'Etape, implying that's it's now highly likely the Montelimar-Mt.Ventoux stage will be the 2009 L'Etape du Tour! 16.10.08: Latest rumors point towards the penultimate stage of the Tour de France to be used as the 2009 L'Etape du Tour. Cycling Weekly's latest issue confirms this assumption with their headline "Lance takes on Ventoux" and heavily promoting the Ventoux as the likely L'Etape route. The stage will most likely be a short stage covering 110-140km and start to the north of Ventoux in Montelimar. The 2008 edition of Paris-Nice featured this stage and could have been the dry run for a 2009 Tour visit to the top of Ventoux. Potential L'Etape date: July 23rd 2009. |
